Cumbre Tajín es Patrimonio Cultural de Veracruz. Se ubica entre los cinco principales festivales de México y los cien más importantes del mundo. Tan importante como su programación en torno al equinoccio de primavera es su permanente labor de regeneración cultural. Su décima tercera edición ofrece un programa de tres ejes:
- · Animar la espiritualidad: conciencia espiritual, huella ecológica, acción individual, pensamiento comunitario y concordia social.
- Recordar el simbolismo del número 13 para la cultura anfitriona y para otras civilizaciones: en la cosmogonía totonaca 13 son las abuelas tejedoras del destino humano; la luna gira 13 veces alrededor de la Tierra a lo largo del año; cada estación dura 13 semanas, y 13 son los ciclos de la cuenta larga del gran ciclo maya.
- Colaborar en los esfuerzos de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Ciencia, la Educación y la Cultura (UNESCO) en torno a las preocupaciones mundiales: la cultura maya, la energía sostenible para todos, los pueblos indígenas, el agua como fuente de vida y la erradicación de la pobreza.
Y este año se engalana con un Line Up musical, que ha todos nos han dejado impresionados, Björk encabezará la Cumbre Tajín 2012 acompañada de artistas como Caifanes, Café Tacvba, Pink Martini, Sinead O’Conor y muchos más. Los festejos primaverales en Papantla, Veracruz, se llevarán a cabo del 17 al 21 de marzo y a continuación esta el cartel oficial.
